Aquila is a 4 star, big 5 Game Reserve & Spa 2 hours from Cape Town. The reserve consists of 10,000 hectare Big 5 conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness. You will be met at arrivals and be transferred by private basis to the hotel, you will see the city’s iconic symbol, Table Mountain greeting you in the distance. Day Itinerary

Today enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, before meeting your guide at the hotel foyer for a private full day Cape Town City Tour (08:30-17:00).
Enjoy an early morning Robben Island trip by boat – The ferries depart from the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V & A Waterfront. The tour takes 3.5 hours including the ferry trip to and from the Island. You will disembark at Murray’s Bay Harbour situated on the east coast of the Island and take a short walk to buses that will transport you to all the historical sites around the Island. On the way to the buses, you will pass buildings and a high wall built by prisoners during the 1960s. The buildings were used for family and lawyer visits to prisoners.
You will meet your Tour Guide when you have boarded the busses. The prison tour will be conducted by a Robben Island Tour Guide. This is part of our integrated tour model. They are fully conversant and knowledgeable about the Island’s multi-layered 500-year-old history. The tour route includes the
graveyard of people who died from leprosy, the Lime Quarry, Robert Sobukwe’s house, the Bluestone quarry, the army and navy bunkers and the Maximum-Security Prison where thousands of South Africa’s freedom fighters were incarcerated for years. The tour culminates with a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell.
After the tour, enjoy some lunch at a local restaurant at the V&A Waterfront and shopping experience – before departing to the hotel for dinner later.

Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the V&A Waterfront has become South Africa’s most visited destination. The Waterfront is the heart of the tourist industry in Cape Town.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel this morning, you will be collected by your guide for a Full Day Cape Town City and Table Mountain Tour (08:30-17:00)
Enjoy a trip via the cable car to Table Mountain – the symbol of the city, it stands at 1080 meters above sea level, from where there is an extremely beautiful view of part of it (weather permitting).
Afterward, visit Boulders Beach to see the unique spectacle of penguins waddling freely. Lunch served.
Later dinner will be served at at a local restaurant.

Table Mountain
Table Mountain is the most iconic landmark of South Africa. Aside from being the country’s most photographed attraction and the perfect place to take photos of the landscape of Cape Town, it is also home to about 2,200 species of plants and 1,470 floral species, many of which are endemic to the mountain. Animal species that can be spotted on the mountain include caracals, rock hyraxes and chacma baboons. The flat top peak of the mountain reaches 1,086 metres above sea level, but being so close to the sea and to the city, its features look more imposing.
